The codes, from each bank's own page

Every code below was copied from a page published by the bank itself on October 26, 2026, and on October 30, 2026 every page was opened again and showed the same code. We did not take any code from a directory or another guide. Paste a code into the format checker if you want to see its parts.

Bank SWIFT/BIC for incoming international wires Routing number the bank gives (US transfers) Bank's page
Chase (JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.) CHASUS33 021000021 Chase wire FAQ
Bank of America BOFAUS3N for US dollars, BOFAUS6S for foreign currency 026009593 Bank of America wires
Wells Fargo WFBIUS6S 121000248 Wells Fargo routing page
PNC PNCCUS33 043000096 PNC wire transfers
USAA No code of its own: the sender uses IRVTUS3NXXX (The Bank of New York) as intermediary Not given on that sheet USAA instructions (PDF)
BMO (U.S.) HATRUS44 071025661 BMO account guide (PDF)
U.S. Bank USBKUS44IMT See your account U.S. Bank help
Capital One HIBKUS44 Call the bank, it says Capital One help
Navy Federal Credit Union NFCUUS33XXX 256074974 Navy Federal wires

The routing number is for wires sent from inside the United States. A sender abroad needs the SWIFT/BIC instead. The routing number page explains the difference.

Four banks with a twist

What the banks say about fees for receiving

Bank Incoming wire fee, as the bank states it
Bank of America "may incur a $15 fee per wire"
Wells Fargo No fee for consumer accounts. Analyzed business accounts pay $15 (Wells Fargo)
USAA No incoming wire fee from USAA. The sending bank may charge its own
Capital One $15 on Essential Checking, High-Yield Checking and Essential Savings, none on other accounts
Navy Federal $0
Chase, PNC, BMO, U.S. Bank Not stated on the pages we read. U.S. Bank points to its pricing brochure; BMO to its Cross-Border Banking hotline

Banks along the way, and the sender's own bank, can take fees too. The amount that arrives can therefore be lower than the amount sent.

Banks we left out

For Citi, TD Bank and Truist, no incoming SWIFT code appeared on any page reachable when this list was built (October 26, 2026), and none is listed. Ask those banks, or look the institution up in Swift's own BIC search. A code we cannot trace to the bank does not go on this page.

Before you hand out a code

  1. Check the code against your bank's app or a recent statement. Banks merge and change codes, and this table was read on one day.
  2. Give the sender your full name as the account shows it, your account number and the bank's name and address. See receiving an international wire.
  3. If someone sends you a code for their bank, check it before you pay. Fraudsters change payment details by email. See the red-flag check.
